Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic medicine specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. The primary treatment modality used is the chiropractic adjustment: a hands on manipulation to the spine or extremities which restores motion to the area being adjusted. This is a completely natural approach to pain relief that by nature has a profound effect on the central nervous system.
Chiropractic can treat conditions such as:
- Lower back pain
- Disc Herniation
- Sciatica
- Neck pain and headaches
- Pinched nerves
- TMJ dysfunction
- Radiating nerve pain
- Rotator cuff injuries
- Ankle sprains
- Carpal tunnel
Prenatal Chiropractic
Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that is designed to balance the pelvic bones, muscles and ligaments. By doing this neuro-biomechanical function is improved to optimize a pregnant mothers pelvis. This helps to alleviate pain during pregnancy but also allows for optimal positioning of the baby in the birth canal leading up to birth.
Active Release Technique (ART)
ART is the gold standard myofascial release technique that addresses sprains/strains, muscle, ligament and fascial issues within the musculoskeletal system. This is used in conjunction with a chiropractic adjustment for increased effectiveness.
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization
This is an approach to movement rehabilitation that takes into account how our nervous system has been programmed to tell us how to move. If born with a healthy nervous system this programming is inherently functional. When that programming becomes aberrant we run into dysfunction within the body. Using DNS is a very profound way to retrain the nervous system to control our movement, alleviate pain and prevent dysfunctional patterns from returning.
