Caitlyn Nguyen

Caitlyn Nguyen is a second generation Certified Massage Therapist and Holistic Health Practitioner. She graduated from Healing Hands School of Holistic Health after transitioning from the field of international education to holistic healthcare. After receiving her Bachelor's degree with Honors in Integrated Educational Studies and Leadership Studies from Chapman University, Caitlyn was awarded the U.S. State Department's prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to live and teach in northern Vietnam. While abroad in Asia, she was first exposed to the utilization of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques in their healthcare systems.

As a child of a large immigrant family who fled from Vietnam during the war, she was greatly influenced by her family's dedicated pursuit of the American Dream. Her mom's side has 4 doctors and her dad's side has 2 public educators. Within her own generation of cousins, there are more doctors, PhDs, acupuncturists, and pathology technicians. With a family so deeply ingrained in both worlds of medicine and education, she decided to try out both– and ultimately chose her path into the world of holistic healthcare where she could provide both self-healing and self-education to her patients. Caitlyn's purpose through massage is to help patients learn to love and take care of themselves so they can thus extend their love and care unto others.

Caitlyn specializes in Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage and Structural Organization and Myofascial Release massage. Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage is a light-touch modality that encourages the body to expel excess cell waste, fluid, and external environmental toxins in order to reduce swelling and boost the body's natural immune system functioning. Structural Organization and Myofascial Release massage is a deep, intensive body analysis that examines the way patients live in their bodies and reorganizes the body from the foundation of the feet up to the head to restructure the entire body to exist in its most efficient functioning. In addition, Caitlyn has also received training in traditional massage modalities such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Tui Na Acupressure, Shiatsu, Reiki, and Dynamic Cupping.
